We only teach realistic
self-defense skills that are street applicable. Students are exposed to aggressive as well as
defensive role-playing to simulate encounters and to prepare them to react ethically as well as
decisively to real-life aggression. Our curriculum covers verbal defusing tactics, choice speech
principles and a host of other behaviorally researched strategies.
Tom has an extensive traditional,
self-defense and sport martial art background with twenty-eight years of experience. He holds
advanced rank in multiple martial arts and is a 6th Dan in Goju Karate. Tom also enjoyed a
successful competitive career in full and semi contact fighting. He has been teaching martial arts
& self-defense to adults and children for over 24 years. From 1991 to present, Tom and wife
Dana have run one of the most successful martial arts schools in their region of New York
State.
